MacBook Air is a lightweight notebook computer introduced by Apple Inc. at the Macworld Conference & Expo on January 15 2008. Apple touts it as the world's thinnest notebook, at 0.76 inches thick at its widest part and weighs in at just under three pounds.

Eco-friendliness

According to Apple, MacBook Air is the most environmentally friendly laptop it has released, having an all-aluminum case and a mercury- and arsenic-free glass display. The circuit boards are free of BFR and PVC. In addition, the packaging has 56% less volume than the regular MacBook. The MacBook Air is also the first Mac laptop to be fully recyclable.
