Thanks for uploading Image:WF-RMS Dance Marathon 2007-084.jpg. - Discussion is ongoing about the marathon article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wake Forest-Rolesville Middle School Dance Marathon. It looks like consensus is that the marathon should not have an article of its own. That said, I think a condensed write-up of the marathon has a place in an article about Wake Forest-Rolesville Middle School—and in fact, the marathon would be something that could be used to assert the notability of the middle school! —C.Fred (talk) 00:48, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- I admire your perseverance with this article, and am trying to help you save it. But please understand that the material I removed from the way the article was originally written was to make it more encyclopedic. Wikipedia is not and should not be a newsletter for events, interesting though they may be. As a story about the dance marathon, it was interesting but not encyclopedic. The only way to save this article is to focus away from the dance marathon, which the article has plenty on now, and delve into what else makes the school notable. I want to give you ample notice of this before I revert your new changes, which have returned it to unencyclopedic. If you continue in that direction, the article will be deleted and there will be nothing I can do to save it. Please thoroughly read Wikipedia:Notability and understand, as it is the article will not survive. If you have access to the school itself, add in information about academic and athletic successes, school history, perhaps what high schools the school feeds into. Chris 04:32, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
