The Atiak massacre (April 17, 1995) led by a group of three hundred LRA soldiers they entered the trading center and town of Atiak, in the Gulu District [1] . It was the largest single massacre by the Lord's Resistance Army. Over 200 were killed in Atiak in April 1995. After routing the Homeguard, the LRA announced, “you Acholi have refused to support us. We shall now teach you a lesson.” [2]
