Plot
Summary
A mysterious man asks Kogoro to go to Yokohama. Ran, Conan and the others go with him. But it was a trap, and Ran and the Detective Boys are taken as hostage. The case, that the mysterious man gave Kogoro, must be sloved within 12 hours, or else the bomb, that is by Ran and the others, will explode. The criminal also knows that Conan is Shinichi Kudo!! Heiji Hattori and Kaito Kid also appear. But who is the criminal? And will Conan and the others manage to save Ran and the Detective Boys..?
Conan, Kogoro, Ran, including Ayumi, Genta, Mitsuhiko and Haibara are invited to visit a theme park. Ran and the kids leave after being given free theme park wristbands, Conan and Kogoro are asked to stay in the room, where the client who hired Kogoro appears on the TV and tells them they have to solve a mystery or he'll blow everyone up because the wristbands are actually bombs.
They are given just one clue and a phone that can only receive calls, leading Conan and Kogoro into an empty hotel that hid bank robbers' masks. They also discover on the same date of the robbery, Kaitou Kid stole some jewels from a nearby company. Kogoro retrieves the bag, but ends up getting arrested for being Kid's accomplice. The mysterious man calls the phone to which Conan picks up and the client identifies Conan as Shinichi instead and gives him a second clue (Conan uses his voice changer and speaks with Shinichi's voice into the phone).
Hattori Heiji also becomes part of the search, because Kazuha is also held captive. Hattori and Conan work together and end up in a university's club office where they join together with another detective. They found out that one of the president of the club and perhaps a friend were involved in the robbery but one of them end up murdered. They went to the murdered guy's house to find out some answers. Hattori then confirms with the client through phone that the mystery he wants them to solve was the murder case, and the truth behind what really happened.
They are attacked by some motorcyclists because the mysterious man wants to spice things up and Conan blacks out after getting injured, supposedly breaking his leg. When Conan wakes up, they are on their way back to the theme park's hotel to report to the mysterious man. Kogoro was already there to reveal what he found out, but Hattori knocks him out. They then discover the entrance to the client's computer office and reveals the truth to him. Him, his friend, and the woman he was in love with were robbing a bank truck and happened to ran into Kaitou Kid who was stealing jewellery and saw the friend's face. The robbery went wrong when the friend killed a guard and was seen by Kid so he was supposed to kill him for screwing up.
The truth was that the woman the client was in love with did not love him, so she sniped the friend. After she killed the friend, she set the client up so that when he sniped the friend, the friend was already dead, but she leads him to think he killed him instead. When the client went to dump the sniper rifle, his car was sabotaged by the woman, because he was supposed to get into an accident and die as well so she could keep all of the money from the robbery.
The woman appears and confirms the truth and is going to shoot. Hattori throws a battle axe on the ceiling and Conan jumps, swings on the spear, turns and knocks out the women by his football. Conan then accesses the computer and gets the wristbands away from everyone. The client was in wheelchair and blind so he had no idea Shinichi was a little kid.
