The Bright Sword

The Bright Sword is a fantasy novel written by American author Lev Grossman, published in 2024 by Penguin Random House. The novel is a King Arthur legend, which follows a young knight named Collum who travels to Camelot to join the Knights of the Round Table. However, Collum finds out King Arthur died at the Battle of Camlaan, leaving only a handful of knights to defend Camelot and the throne of Britain from warlords, rivals, and magical forces.

Reception

Reviews were positive. Kiersten White for the New York Times said it "resoundingly earns its place among the best of Arthurian tales."[1] The Wall Street Journal wrote the book "stands out as the best fantasy of the year."[2]
