Lola is a 2024 American independent drama film directed by Nicola Peltz and Bria Vinaite in their directorial debut, from a screenplay written by Peltz. The film stars Peltz and Virginia Madsen.

The film was released in the United States on February 9, 2024.

Plot

Lola James works to save enough money to get her little brother, Arlo, out of their toxic home. Arlo keeps her hopeful, until one tragic night, when her whole world gets uprooted. From that moment on, nothing will ever be the same.

Production

In March 2021, it was announced that Nicola Peltz would make her directorial debut co-directing a film that she wrote titled Lola James.[1] The film would star Peltz and Virginia Madsen.[1] During production, it was revealed that Richie Merritt, Trevor Long, Raven Goodwin, and Luke David Blumm were in the cast.[2]

Principal photography began on March 1, 2021 and concluded on April 15, 2021, in Los Angeles, California.[3]

The trailer was released on January 11, 2024 under the title Lola with co-director Vinaite uncredited.[4]

Lola was released in the United States on February 9, 2024.[5]
