The Lost Bus is an upcoming film from Paul Greengrass, with Brad Ingelsby adapting the book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire by Lizzie Johnson. It is set to be produced by Blumhouse and Comet Films, and star Mathew McConaughey.

Premise

A bus driver has to navigate a bus full of children to safety through a 2018 Camp Fire that became the deadliest fire in California history.

In January 2024, Jason Blum for Blumhouse and Jamie Lee Curtis for Comet Films for announced as producers on the film adaptation of Lizzie Johnson’s book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire with Paul Greengrass attached to direct and Mathew McConaughey to star.[1]
