Nomadic capital
Whats up with the word "nomadic?" I know that Ethiopia wasn't a nomadic empire like the Mongols, but even they had settled capitals. There were multiple royal enclosures and capitals like Emfraz during the reign of Sarsa Dengel for example but for the most part the emperors only stayed there during the winter or times of peace and otherwise moved around their doman in "Ketema" camps living off of the locals and campaigning AFAIK. This is the big difference between the warlike culture of the medieval Solomonic dyansty and intellectual/cosmopolitan culture of the Gondarine period which had one of the largests cities in all of Africa at the time as it's long term capital. - Actually I found some information about the capitals of the Ethiopian Empire. Most notably Tegulet which was mentioned as being the capital of Ethiopia during the reign of Wedem Arad and Amda Seyon I. Although I'm not sure when it lost it's significance. محرر البوق (talk) 11:45, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
I guess you could also use the word "mobile" instead of nomadic. BeteAmora (talk) 04:07, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- I just don't see why it should be changed at all. No need to be super specific. محرر البوق (talk) 08:04, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- Unspecified makes it sound like theres no info on and it's been lost. I think it should be "mobile." BeteAmora (talk) 06:34, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
