Nathan Reiber was a Polish-born Canadian businessman, disbarred lawyer, tax-evader, philanthropist, and real-estate developer in Miami.[1][2][3][4][5]

Reiber graduated from the University of Alberta law school and became a lawyer in 1953.[6] In the early 80's Reiber was charged by Canada with tax evasion. He'd eventually plead guilty and pay a $60,000 fine. In 1984 Reiber resigned as a lawyer after the Law Society of Upper Canada found the he had committed professional misconduct by failing to cooperate with an inquiry into the tax charges that had been files against him.[2]

Reiber became the subject of international attention following the 2021 collapse of one of a building he'd constructed in Aventura, Florida in 1981. He died in 2014 at age 86.[3]
