Perhaps this could be mentioned.

P.S. Also, I notice they always use a Mac laptop computer, but I don't know the exact model. Is this worth mentioning in the entry, or is it too minor of a detail? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Macshill (talkcontribs) 08:59, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Clean up

There were a number of typographical, grammatical and punctuation errors. Aclayartist (talk) 15:48, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Presenters

Aled Jones has also been seen as a presenter.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 15:30, 10 June 2010 (UTC) Aled Jones is now down there as a presenter. Vorbee (talk) 19:29, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Update to seasons

Needs a big update. Series 11 is currently airing on BBC1. (Paul237 (talk) 14:50, 10 March 2011 (UTC))[reply]

Anti climactic endings

One thing that always spoiled the show for me was the way that they did not reveal at the end which house the couple finally purchased, and at what price.... would have been really good to know and round off the show. It's a flaw in the format which is surprising for a BBC show. Was this ever changed in more recent episodes? (I have not seen them) Pag2006 (talk) 16:49, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

They don't say which house the people bought because they never buy a house!

This is such a stupid show. The basic idea is for a couple to look at a few houses and then buy one.

In all the episodes I've seen over the past 12 years, I cannot recall anybody ending up buying one of the houses featured.

How the BBC can justify spending our money on this farce of a show is beyond me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.6.19.71 (talk) 15:54, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

In the episode which I just caught the tail end of on September 30 2018, the couple who went house viewing did have a second viewing of the mystery house and then put in an offer for it. Vorbee (talk) 15:12, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

People do buy houses they see - there is a programme called "I Escaped to the Country", which the BBC website says is about successful house purchases of people who went to buy a house featured on their original Escape to the Country journey. Vorbee (talk) 16:42, 25 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

On the edition broadcast on the afternoon of Thursday 14 March 2019, the couple who were looking for a property in rural Lincolnshire did put in an offer for the second property they saw. Vorbee (talk) 15:53, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

On the edition broadcast on Maundy Thursday 2019, which was presented by Jules Hudson and was about a couple looking for a property in Herefordshire, the couple did put in an offer for the mystery house and their offer was accepted. Vorbee (talk) 14:50, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

On the edition broadcast on August 11 2019, which was presented by Jules Hudson and was about a couple looking for a property in south-west Wales, the couple put in an offer for the mystery house and their offer was accepted. Jules Hudson said that the couple should be moving in soon. So, you see, people do buy properties that they view. Vorbee (talk) 15:21, 11 August 2019 (UTC) The couple put in an offer for the mystery house on the edition broadcast on 5 December 2012, and the offer was accepted.Vorbee (talk) 16:41, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

On the edition broadcast on April 16 2021, the couple looking for a property in Bedfordshire liked the first property they saw said they liked the first property saw. It was said at the end of the programme that they had moved in there.

On the edition beoadcast on June 25 2021, Sarah and Adrian from Surrey were looking for a property in the Wye Valley. They said at the end of the programme that they had put in an offer for one of the houses they saw and it was accepted. So, you see people do buy houses. The couple even brought some wine along to share with Jonnie Irwin, who presented the programme. Rollo August (talk) 20:03, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Series 13 section too vague

This section needs expansion. Was the any changes to this season? If not it needs to be merged into the series 10-12 section. Drinkdrinker (talk) 15:39, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Jon Wygens

Jon Wygens is the composer of the theme music to this programme, and this information could go in the infobox in the top right-hand corner. Vorbee (talk) 14:59, 4 April 2018 (UTC) The article on Coast vs Country mentions the composer. Vorbee (talk) 15:48, 29 May 2018 (UTC) It is a very beautiful theme tune so maybe the composer of it deserves some credit. Vorbee (talk) 15:54, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This article is SO outdated

They are now at Series 19; has this Wikipedia page been updated in recent years?

Three or four properties

This article says that the couple view three properties including a mystery property. It could mention that on the edition broadcast on November 18 2018, the mystery property was the fourth property which the couple viewed. Vorbee (talk) 16:03, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The programme airs on Sundays

This article says that the programme air on BBC One on weekday afternoon, but in recent times, the programme has been broadcast on Sundays. Vorbee (talk) 16:44, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I Escaped to the Country

I see that on BBC One on Friday afternoon they put on a programme called "I Escaped to the Country". Does any one know anything about this programme, and is it a follow-up to "Escape to the Country"? If so, it could be mentioned in this article. Vorbee (talk) 16:09, 11 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Escape to the Continent

Why does the infobox in the top right-corner of this article say "Also known as "Escape to the Continent""? I thought "Escape to the Continent" was a separate programme about people who wanted to move abroad. Vorbee (talk) 09:55, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Converted power station

I am not sure where this would best fit in the article, but it might be worth putting in that on the edition broadcast on 4 April 2019, the couple viewed a property which Alistar Appleton (the presenter of this edition of the programme) said was the first time the property had been a converted power station. This was the mystery property. Vorbee (talk) 15:04, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Stub Class or Start Class

Above, where it says that this article is of interest to WikiProject BBC, it says that the article has been rated as stub class on the quality scale. Does any one think it is long enough now to be rated as start class rather than stub class? Vorbee (talk) 15:54, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Escape to the Perfect Town

This article says that the spinoff series is called "Escape to the New Town", but I see it is called "Escape to the Perfect Town". Vorbee (talk) 07:33, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
