Jenn Bailey (born 1965) is an American writer of children's books. Her book, A Friend For Henry, won a Schneider Family Book Award Honor.

Career

Jenn Bailey knew she wanted to be a writer from a very young age. Her first story was from the point of view of a bat on Halloween night.

Bailey's first children's picture book, "A Friend For Henry", won an American Library Association award for it's theme of inclusivity for children with developmental differences. She has said the character of Henry is based on her second son, whom she watched navigate a similar situation when he was young.[1]
