Revision as of 06:16, 3 January 2021

Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test on the page Noise-cancelling headphone worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Mayalld 16:08, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why? This was not a test. It was real editing. --Alex Blokha 16:09, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You added a table to the article that contained placeholders rather than real content, as such it is reasonable to interpret it as an edit to test that your table syntax was correct. Whilst I am happy that it was your intention to further edit the page to add real content, you must bear in mind that edits to wikipedia are immediately visible to all users, and that as a result the article contained a test, rather than valid content. Please use either the general sandbox, or a sandbox in your user space for works in progress. Mayalld 19:04, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Noise cancelling headphones

The new version of the table with content is much better, however;

  1. Why create a column that has no content. If you intend to add this content later, add the column later rather than leaving an article in an obviously unfinished state.
  2. Per WP:MOS, you shouldn't use all capitals.

@Doomsdayer520:, The book was published in 2016 and 2012. Its 70 years after first publish. Thats why I call it still popular. --Alex Blokha (talk) 19:55, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Dardanelles (disambiguation), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Battle of the Dardanelles (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:15, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
