I am not entirely sure he passes [[WP:PROF]], but he is probably notable as a Pan-Africanist author advocating pseudolinguistic and pseudohistorical "Black Egypt" theories. Of course I reviewed your contributions, as I have said plainly at [[WP:FTN]], of which you are aware.

academic credentials

I am not sure about the "professor emeritus" status, but he has a homepage at the Africana Studies website of San Francisco university. That would make him an "Africanist". He apparently holds a PhD in (French) letters and humanities. He is neither an academic Egyptologist, nor an academic philosopher.

I am not entirely sure he passes WP:PROF, but he is probably notable as a Pan-Africanist author advocating pseudolinguistic and pseudohistorical "Black Egypt" theories. Sadly, there is a difference between Africana studies (ideological approach to identity politics) and African studies (actual study of actual Africa). --dab (𒁳) 18:24, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Of course I reviewed your contributions, as I have said plainly at WP:FTN, of which you are aware. No I had never heard of Obenga before. Which is why I didn't have any sort of opinion about him either way. This article as it stood was completely worthless because it didn't cite any references. So I went over to the French article and collected some secondary sources there.

Pan-Africanism as a general topic is different, I know a lot about that and have been involved in the article[1]. You, sir, in my opinon are a troll, as you make no valid contribution to articles and instead bicker with people on talkpages for no good reason. Please let me see you make some encyclopedic contribution before you expect me to argue with you any further. --dab (𒁳) 20:44, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
