Edwin Maria Katzenellenbogen who at times had his name spelled as Katzen-Ellenbogen was an ethnically Jewish prisoner who also served as a physician in the concentration camp of Buchenwald.[1] In the Buchenwald Camp Trial (part of the Dachau Trials) he was sentenced to lifetime imprisonment (later modified to 15 years of imprisonment).
