Your edit to Special relationship

Beaumont College

I'm sorry for not getting back on the chat I promised you on the article. I'm presuming that you will pursue this, so here goes:

The article you wrote was much better than the one currently, I think we both agree on that. Apparently the problem then was that there was copyright infringment and the article was deleted. The problem now is that I can't verify any infringment because the url cited is now a deadlink (the situation occured nearly two years ago). As an admin, I can view the page, so I'll see if I can merge the deleted info (not the exact text) into the current article. Sr13 06:51, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Shaw's Passion Play

I placed reference to it at the beginning of the section, linking it to the article. Although genuinely interesting, I believe you gave too much importance to a minor portion of Shaw's colossal work.

Shaw was not an "unbeliever". He rejected the theologies of Christianity and other religions, but he believed firmly in a "Life Force" which benignly directed evolutionary development. Wugo 12:48, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Duplicate images uploaded

If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. Byzantine emperors

You're welcome...the problem with Alexius I was that it had been moved and then the redirect was subsequently edited, so you couldn't move it back. I had to use my fancy admin buttons to do it properly.

I'm not sure what the conventional spellings are. They were all under Latinized spellings when I started editing, or because I created them, four or five years ago; a couple of years ago they were all moved to Greek spellings, after a lengthy but not very conclusive discussion. I see both spellings often, even in the most current scholarship, so I suppose it doesn't really matter, but I bet some people are going to be very offended that you've moved them back. I found this one, but as most people in the south of England drop their h's on hotel (but perhaps not in 'artford 'ereford and 'ampshire ;) and don't use "an" anyway its "a onion init?" I'm not sure if this Oxford note is a useful indicator, although it is a reliable source. -- PBS (talk) 20:44, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

Dead links

I noticed your edits to Court leet. Nowadays, we don't just remove dead links (I vaguely remember that we used to - but no matter). Wikipedia:Link rot puts it thus Do not delete cited information solely because the URL to the source does not work any longer. WP:Verifiability does not require that all information be supported by a working link, nor does it require the source to be published online and gives practical advice at WP:KDL. I am a bit surprised you have not responded to me or this issue by now. The Jock Scott is clearly worthy of a WP article and there are sufficient sources about to do it justice. We should probably change the title to Jock Scott (salmon fly) to align with our title and disambiguation guidelines. I will be happy to help pull the article together with you. I'll let the copyvio folks sort this out, but if you compare the lead as you wrote it and the lead paragraph on the fish4flies website, all you did was rearrange the sentences. The entry was a classic example of close paraphrasing.
