J.P. Vaswani, is an Indian non-sectarian[3] spiritual leader, mystic[4], philosopher[5], humanitarian[6], educator, orator[7], poet and author. He has also been working in the field of promotion of vegetarianism[8] and animal rights[9]. He is the present Spiritual Head[10] at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission founded by his Guru, Sadhu T. L. Vaswani.

He has spoken at numerous venues including the British House of Commons in London, the Global Forum of Spiritual Leaders in Oxford, the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago, and the Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders at the United Nations in New York. Vaswani has written over 150 self-help books.[11]

Early Life

Childhood

Born in Hyderabad, Sindh on Friday 2 August 1918 to Krishnadevi and Pahlajrai, Dada Vaswani (Template:Lang-sd) was one of the seven siblings- three sisters and four brothers.[12]

Spiritual Beginnings

J.P. Vaswani's pursuit for Spirituality started from his childhood. The greatest influence on him, during his growing years, was that of his paternal uncle, Sadhu T. L. Vaswani.
