EchoPark Automotive is a used car retailer operating in the United States. It exists as a result of the growing used car retail market in the United States. The company is a subsidiary of Sonic Automotive, Inc.—a Fortune 500 company based in Charlotte, North Carolina[1].

Concept

EchoPark is an alternative to traditional car buying that incorporates technology and transparency throughout the shopping process. Customers can look up competitors prices on mobile devices located throughout the stores. The concept lets customers have a self-guided experience and aims to reduce the high-pressure car-shopping environment[2].

Locations

The first EchoPark location opened in the Thornton area of Denver, Colorado in 2014. Two more locations–Centennial and Highlands Ranch—have followed in the Denver area. EchoPark facilities are LEED certified and constructed with sustainable building technologies[3].

Community Outreach

The company hosts open-to-the-public driver-education seminars at the Thornton area location. Seminars educate drivers on various road safety topics such as the dangers of texting and driving.

Leadership

EchoPark is lead by the Sonic Automotive team of President Scott Smith, Vice Chairman David Smith, Executive VP of Operations Jeff Dyke and Vice President Tim Keen[4].
