The Pingtung Line (Chinese: 屏東線; pinyin: Píngdōng Xiàn) is a line of the Taiwan Railway Administration in Taiwan. It is 61.3 km long, of which 20.9 km is double track.[1]
History
The line was completed in 1941. It is electrified (25 kV) with two tracks from Kaohsiung to Pingtung, and extended to Chaozhou in 2015. Most trains start or end from Kaohsiung Station or Pingtung Station.
