He was educated in Col. Brown Cambridge School and graduated [[Bachelor of Arts|BA]] before entering politics. He is well known for policies of intimidation, strong arming opponents and promoting criminal elements on casteist basis as supporters. He is considered to be primarily responsible for criminalizing local politics.

Devi Singh Bhati is a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Kolayat in Rajasthan state in India. He was a cabinet minister in the government led by Vasundhara Raje.[1]
