I am an American school teacher, genealogist, photographer and parent.

As a middle-school and high-school librarian I am well-versed in basic research. Students use Wikipedia daily for topics from the arts to the sciences and I try to correct any errors they come across while we're working. I also enjoy helping kids ages 12 to 18 find appropriate reading materials for school work or pleasure. Personally, I enjoy reading and researching a wide variety of topics.

I have found several articles on Wikipedia which are direct 'copy and paste' from other sources. If I am knowledgeable in the subject I have rewritten the entries in my own words. I'm afraid there are others I just didn't feel comfortable editing. Do to this issue, I would like to state for the record that everything I have written here is from verifiable sources and is in my own words.
