Calvary was started by a faithful group of believers who met for their first service on October 25,1931 in the Ebell Club in downtown Santa Ana under the leadership of Rev. Frank E. Lindgren . As the church began to expand, they outgrew the Ebell Club and moved to a property down the street to the club in 1941, where their numbers continued to grow. When Pastor Michael Samsvick became the fourth head pastor of Calvary he purchased the current Tustin Ave. property in 1962. As the church grew, more land was purchased on the property to create more space for buildings and Calvary Christian School that started in the late sixties. The last building put in place was our current Worship Center that was finished in 1991. |
