The Writer with No Hands is a 2014 feature-length documentary film about an academic's investigation into the disappearance of Hollywood screenwriter Gary Devore.
Devore disappeared in June 1997. A year later, his car and body were discovered submerged in the California Aqueduct near Palmdale, California but investigators were unable to establish a clear narrative on what had happened in the leading to the apparent crash.[1]
