***Callanecc, while I'm glad that the "Robertyoung122" and "197.76.169.102" IP address were blocked and tagged, I thought I'll report my investigation results into this impersonation of the real Robert Young of Atlanta, Georgia. First, as you will see, I'm a long-time Wikipedia member despite having not edited in quite a long time due to lack of interest on my own part as well as becoming more involved as a volunteer for Gerontology Research Group. While I have a strong interest in longevity topics, I became active in early 2012, I believe, right after the ArbCom longevity issues and lost interest ever since when I saw that I spent more time in the talk pages rather than improving articles and that frustrated me. Back to the subject at hand, I'm also an administrator at The 110 Club forum, which is an informal forum discussing about supercentenarians (people who have reached 110+ years old). One member named "Border" on our forum is from South Africa, and he was upset with the real Robert Young, who uses "ryoung122" both at that forum as well as on Wikipedia here before his topic-ban. Border used two IP addresses yesterday on our forum, which were: 197.76.133.61 (first post) and 41.13.70.185 (2nd post). The two vandalism entries on Wikipedia, first by "Robertyoung122"/"197.76.169.102", showed that the IP address is from South Africa, but not down to city level. The later vandalism can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_living_supercentenarians&diff=prev&oldid=600644924. This was from IP address of 41.13.92.119, which happens to be from same town as our Border's 2nd post's IP address of 41.13.70.185. For a very small forum like ours, this is quite suspicious. We have suspended this member from our forum, and I just wanted to make sure that the real "ryoung122" is liberated from this SPI. WP:DUCK can be used too liberally by administrators to think that it's the expected person at fault. While I personally work with "ryoung122" at Gerontology Research Group, this is not COI because I am only interested in ensuring that Wikipedia administrators do not jump to conclusions regarding the real "ryoung122" persona, who lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and has expressed a desire to return back to Wikipedia. He said he appears he cannot even respond to this SPI (his account apparently isn't working despite only having a "topic-ban"). Cheers, <font color="Sienna">Calvin</font><font color="DarkGreen">Ty</font> 02:02, 23 March 2014 (UTC) |

Accused parties may also comment/discuss in this section below. See Defending yourself against claims. Comment - Do an IP check of Ryoung122 and this new account. I believe this is the vandal's IP: Special:Contributions/197.76.169.102. I doubt the real Robert Young would create another account just to vandalise. CommanderLinx (talk) 15:47, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
