What sort of sources can be used for a character page? I have a lot I could add, but mainly from watching the show. --Susan118 (talk) 18:12, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your interest in developing this type of article and specifically this subject. Perhaps a good start would be to review Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(writing_about_fiction). If you feel you have developed the article adequately, please remove the {{in-universe|date=May 2009}} tag at the top of the article. If you find the right citations you may also want to remove the {{Unreferenced|date=October 2007}} tag. Pknkly (talk) 16:37, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Now that I've had a chance to read that thoroughly and check out the examples of good articles, I've got a better idea what kind of info should be included. I'm working on it, but it will likely be slow going. --Susan118 talk 06:04, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. I Love You is a good source. It, really, contains everything! Next thing you know we'll be banned for massive copyright violations for the website! Coastergeekperson04TMcirca. Jul/26/09 15:12
That's a great site; that's actually where I found the articles I cited. --Susan118 talk 06:23, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Under Construction

I added the tag as I am trying to add some information and rewrite some parts to resolve the in-universe problem. --Susan118 talk 01:58, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I did indeed do some major rewriting earlier to fix that problem in Larry Appleton, but I mainly focused on simply replacing years with seasons and episodes, e.g. "Later in 1986, Larry met Jennifer Lyons..." to "Early in Season 2 (Hunks Like Us, Larry met Jennifer..." It was painstaking, but I did not need the use of a template. N.B., or should I say, P.S., nice signature. Coastergeekperson04TMcirca. Jul/26/09 15:10

Infobox

It's my understanding that infoboxes should not be used for fictional characters, that doing so portrays them as though they are a real person, giving an in-universe perspective (which should be avoided) to the article. I appreciate that someone went to some trouble to create the box, so I'd like others' thoughts on this before taking any action. Susan118 talk 19:35, 21 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Same goes for year of birth. If no one responds here, I will remove it and make a note to discuss here.Susan118 talk 03:53, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Went over the guidelines again for writing about fiction, it is pretty clear as per WP:INUNIVERSE that infoboxes (much as I like them) should not be used for fictional characters, so I removed it.Susan118 talk 04:11, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
