I know this is not exactly a good source, but everything i read about this game is vastly different from what the wiki article touts: http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/13ydhc/miner_wars_a_6dof_space_shooter_like_descent_is/

They also use referal spam as marketing, and this article's edit history seems to be clogged with removal of advertisement. Example of referal spam: http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/ckksv/miner_wars_beta_opens_lets_help_fellow_redditors/
