Richard "Mack" Machowicz, a former Navy SEAL, was the host of the Discovery Channel and Military Channel show Future Weapons. According to the program's introduction, he spent ten years as a U.S. Navy SEAL and now searches for new weapons and military technologies used in modern warfare. He is also proficient in many martial arts and a practitioner of Zen Buddhism. He was the newest member on Spike's show, Deadliest Warrior[1].

Biography
According to his biography on the Discovery Channel's site,[5] "he participated in numerous tactical operations with SEAL Team ONE and TWO. While operating at SEAL Team TWO, he was a Naval Special Warfare Scout/Sniper, as well as being attached to the training cadre as the Leading Petty Officer of Land, Mountain and Arctic Warfare." He also has practiced Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do, Kickboxing, Aikido, Jujutsu, Savate, Arnis, and Karate for more than twenty years, having received multiple black belts. He was a certified instructor in the Naval Special Warfare Combat Fighting Instructor Course, as well as a Naval Special Warfare Scout/Sniper. He founded the Bukido Institute, as well as the Bukido Training System, which "teaches a performance philosophy that uses unarmed combat as a pathway for exploring the dynamics of doubt, hesitation, second-guessing, stress, pain, fatigue and fear." Mack also served as a personal protection specialist for many high profile individuals within the political arena, business world and entertainment industry.
Machowicz's work has been featured in many publications, including the Los Angeles Times and Men's Fitness. It has also been showcased on ESPN, Lifetime, and Fox Sports.
He is the host and producer of Discovery Channel’s show “FutureWeapons” in addition to producing and hosting a one-hour special for the Discovery Channel called “Weapons That Changed the World,” which continues to be seen on both the Discovery and Military Channels.
In 2009 he filmed a cameo appearance with Gerard Butler in the film GAMER directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the duo who created the feature film Crank.
Mack was also featured in the marketing for the video game Red Faction: Guerilla for THQ. He appeared on the 'Tools of Destruction' teaser for the game Red Faction: Guerrilla. He co-wrote and hosted five webisodes that featured him detailing the game’s weapons and game play.
He also hosted and developed a one-hour pilot for NBC with J.D. Roth of 3ball and David Broome of 25/7 called The Gift, which aired on Bravo.
Mack has also authored the book 'Unleash The Warrior Within'.
Mack has consulted with various professionals ranging from NFL and NBA Teams, to senior corporate executives and their staff. His work has been featured in numerous publications including the Los Angeles Times, Men's Fitness and Black Belt Magazine as well as being showcased on Dr. Phil, ESPN, Lifetime and CNBC's "The Big Idea."
He also is also the founder and CEO of NDCQ.com. NDCQ® is an acronym for Mack's mantra Not Dead Can’t Quit! NDCQ.com is social network of individuals. The site provides the community with tools, information and products.
Mack is also the founder and creator of the Bukido® Training System.
He has replaced Max Geiger in season 3 of the Spike show 'Deadliest Warrior'.
In May 2012 Mack became the morning host on a Houston conservative talk radio station KSEV AM 700. Mack lives in Texas with his family.
