New Album is the fifteenth studio album by the Japanese experimental band Boris. The album was released on March 16, 2011, on CD through Tearbridge (an imprint of major label Avex) and on double LP through Daymare. The CD and LP feature different versions of several tracks.[2] The album is not planned for released outside of Japan.[3]
The label released the song "Party Boy" prior to the release which also appears on another upcoming Boris album called Attention Please. Other track titles which are shared with that album are "Hope", "Les Paul Custom '86", and "Spoon".[4] The album also shares the titles of the tracks "Jackson Head" and "Tu, la la" with their next release Heavy Rocks. "Black Original" has appeared on Japanese Heavy Rock Hits Vol. 2 with different instrumentation.
