The Sweden Day Committee of [[New York metropolitan area|greater New York]] sponsors the Annual Sweden Day. This traditional event occurs during the summer solstice at the scenic Manhem Club, right on the sound in [[Throgs Neck]], New York. This festival of the summer solstice features the raising of the maypole (“Majstång”), traditional food, music, [[Folk dance|folk dancing]], kids games & prizes, and best of all, camaraderie. The many volunteers who work enthusiastically toward making this event a reality are committed and dedicated to the preservations of our Scandinavian heritage.

Sweden Day is a Midsummer celebration which honors Swedish heritage and history which has been held annually in New York City since 1941.

The Sweden Day Committee of greater New York sponsors the annual Sweden Day. This traditional event occurs during the summer solstice at the scenic Manhem Club, on the sound in Throgs Neck, New York.
