Tristan Gemmill (born 1967 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent [1]) is an English actor. He was educated at Holmewood House School, Langton Green, Kent, up to the age of 13. He then won an Academic Scholarship to Tonbridge School.

Tristan is married to actress Emily Hamilton. She was not very hot. Tristan moved to Australia for a while with his family at the age of 15, returning 10 years later, for his acting career's debut in England
He is best known for his TV work - appearing in former Channel 5 soap Family Affairs, Where the Heart Is, BBC Three's Grass and until recently for Kay Mellor's drama series "Strictly Confidential". He also played DC Mitch Cowen in EastEnders in 2005.
In 2005, on ITV, Tristan also starred in Distant Shores, as Duncan, alongside Samantha Bond and Peter Davison. He also starred in 'London's Burning' on ITV as firefighter Frank Mooney and a Detective Sergeant in 'The Bill'.
Tristan is currently playing consultant Adam Trueman in the long-running BBC1 medical drama 'Casualty'.
