The AMD Phenom family of microprocessors is a microprocessor family from AMD. It includes the Phenom quad-core (9-series), triple-core (8-series) and the future Phenom FX processors. The Phenom family is also related to the Athlon dual-core (6-series) processors. The first Phenoms were released in November 2007.

Athlon dual-core 6-series

The Athlon dual-core 6-series of microprocessors is based on the Phenom family. They differ from earlier Athlon X2 processors which are based on the original Athlon 64 (0Fh/K8 processor family).

Notes

Note 1: The multiplier of the Phenom applies to the 200 MHz HyperTransport base clock.

Note 2: The Black Edition features an unlocked multiplier.
