*I'm not saying that these stations should not have their own stand alone articles, it is just that there is not enough information on any of them that anyone but me has contributed to make a stand alone article worthwhile. Until such time arises, it seems much more logical to have a redirect to the town page with station information on that page. You have gone and blocked me for something that only you and I are disagreeing on, some admin you are. By the look of your talk page, you have a history of this. I'm thinking of leaving anyway becasue I don't appear to have a personality disorder large enough to put up with this sort of crap.[[User:Quaidy|Quaidy]] ([[User talk:Quaidy#top|talk]]) 11:04, 11 April 2008 (UTC) |

{{unblock|This block is completely unjustified- I have added rail station related info in good faith to varoius NSW town pages and redirected uncreated rail station links to the town pages, because at this stage there doesn't seen to be enough info to create stand alone railway station pages for many minor railway stations in NSW, especially those that have been closed, and no-one else seems interested in creating any of these pages at this stage. This block seems a little vindictive from someone who has made no effort to contribute info to these topics.}} |

Question about Tram maps
Hi! Just a question about your maps on the Trams in Sydney article. How did you make the maps, and where did you get the template of the Sydney suburbs? Thanks for your help! --Whats new? 02:48, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. How do you remove the existing routes and draw new ones with Acrobat. Isn't it just a pdf reader? --Whats new? 04:02, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Sraheada.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Sraheada.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:00, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Transitfirst_logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Transitfirst_logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 20:28, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

Qld rail map request
I would like to ask if you could make a rail network map for Queensland and the Rail transport in Queensland page like the one you uploaded on the Rail transport in New South Wales page? - Shiftchange (talk) 10:39, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Sydney tram maps
Hi Quaidy - I've noticed your great maps on the Sydney tram network, and I wondered whether you have ever done a map for the North Shore system? Also - did the line to Ryde only have the two termini at West Ryde station and Top Ryde shops? The map doesn't show it. JRG (talk) 05:00, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the map. I wanted to point out something - I don't think trams ever went over the new Gladesville Bridge - from the city, the trams would have travelled via the old route up what is now Victoria Place, then over the old bridge, then up Huntley's Point Road from next to the present ferry wharf, then left at where Huntley's Point Road now joins with Victoria Road and onto the present route. JRG (talk) 06:19, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Railway stations
Most of the Victorian closed stations have articles already, and there's plenty of material to write decent articles on the ones in New South Wales. Had someone thought to go through and link them back when the Victorian ones were, we'd probably have at least some material on a lot of these already. Rebecca (talk) 10:39, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Some are, some aren't. The ones that are would be easily fixed by a very little bit of research. And thus, we get articles where we didn't have them before, which is great for people like me who find these old country stations really interesting. Rebecca (talk) 21:39, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that Wikipedia doesn't work that way (perhaps Citizendum is more your style? They take the opposite approach.). It may well take a year or two, but as we've seen with articles elsewhere, once the redlinks are there to highlight that an article needs creating, they'll be created eventually. There isn't a chance that any of these would be deleted if an article (in any form) was written, so please quit trying to prevent them from being created in the first place. Rebecca (talk) 03:13, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- "Try looking and you'll see." How about going to the library? There's good books on a lot of railway lines and stations (including these rural lines), useful material in local history books, as well as a wealth of historical material in the archives of the five or six Australian railway history journals. Rebecca (talk) 04:51, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- I am not asking you to. What I am asking you, however, is to stop screwing around with these articles so that others can in the future. Rebecca (talk) 05:43, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use Image:ExtensionOptionsMap.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:ExtensionOptionsMap.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 17:45, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Sydney RAS
I notice that you removed a "stray bit of text". FYI- a stray bit of text like that is almost always a sign that there has been vandalism, which, despite some reversions, has been missed. My suggestion is, track back through the history until you find out exactly what caused the problem. Go to the next clean version bbelow that and go to "edit". It will warn you that your edits will be lost, but you can force a save of the older correct version. But check it out first.
If you don't want to go to the trouble, or you just don't have time, then leave the stupid stuff right where it is. It will be found by someone who watches the page regularly, and it will immediately cue them to the fact that something is seriously missing.
I get so sick of vandals... but I go round the traps and check the articles I've written regularly. Amandajm (talk) 06:59, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Image source problem with Image:Circular Quay trackplan.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Circular Quay trackplan.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:27, 4 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 18:27, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Stop it
You've gone on a mass redirecting spree, both unilaterally deleting practically every regional railway station and creating redirects where there should be redlinks. There is a long-standing consensus that these articles are notable, as there's abundant sources: hell, to show how arbitrary this was, a bunch of the articles you randomly decided to redirect were buildings on the Register of the National Estate. In any case, if you want to change that longstanding precedent, please go and actually get a consensus, instead of making a complete bloody mess. If you a pull a stunt like this again, you can expect to be blocked. Rebecca (talk) 01:13, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- I've just realised the sheer extent of the mess you've created - you've redirected every single railway-related redlink in the entire state, including entire suburban lines. This is an incredibly controversial thing to do without so much as a word beforehand, and it's going to take me the rest of the morning to clean up. As such, I've blocked you for 24 hours as a warning not to do something like this again. Rebecca (talk) 01:26, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- If you look at what I have actually done you stupid bloody idiot you will realise that I have added rail station related info on the town or city pages on most of the stations I have redirected to. Go ahead and revert it you bloody self righteous idiot. I don't see any reason why rail station info can not be put on a town's page with a redirect to it. At least I am adding constructive info. Take a look at Bowning, New South Wales, Towrang, New South Wales, Breadalbane, New South Wales, Moree, New South Wales etc etc. This is has been a NSW convention, what are you a bloody Victorian or something? I object to my sanctimonoius blocking and am going to take this further.Quaidy (talk) 10:27, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
