Early Years

His parents are Fred Eugene Hunstable, a electrical engineer, and Candace "Candy" Lee Cotter, a school teacher. Since childhood, he showed interest in the technology starting a one of the largest Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) at age 11 called the Dark Realms.
He graduated from Granbury High School, Granbury in 1997, where his mother still works. He then went on to receive his B.S. in Engineering Management from United States Military Academy. Upon graduation from West Point, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army. After West Point
After West Point, Hunstable was required to serve 5 years in the US Army. Hunstable served in various capacities around the world working jobs both for the US Army and the Department of Defense directly.
In 2005, he left the US Army to work for Hillwood Development, a real estate company owned by Ross Perot developing master planned communities in Dallas/Fort Worth.
Birth of Ustream
Ustream.TV was born when the founders (Hunstable, Ham, and Feher) wanted a way for their friends in the Army who were deployed overseas in Iraq during the war to be able to communicate with their families back home. Ustream provided them a way to talk to all their relatives at once when free time in the war zone was limited.
In their first internet company, all the Ustream.TV founders had previously worked together on a internet based event photo sharing website that allowed users to add custom graphics to their photos with online printing through a partnership with Ezprints.com.
Launching their public beta in March 2007, Ustream.TV was the first of a series of live video sites include Justin.tv and Operator11.com. The company has seen large growth in the political, entertainment, and technology fields.[2]
Ustream.TV has witnessed many notable people streaming from politicians such as Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards[3] to artists like Tori Amos and the Plain White T's[4]. The technology community has also adopted Ustream to include Robert Scoble, Leo Laporte, Chris Pirillo, and Cali Lewis.
Ustream.TV recently announced partnerships with meebo [5] and Bebo. [6].
