Hi Torlek, should I use CollegeSecondaryStyle and color=white after the the college on college football away game summaries, or should I not do color=white, and also, add Game One before (ex. Game One - Akron Zips (0-0) at Ohio State Buckeyes (0-0) - Game summary)? Also, on the stats section, should I use the color style and border=1 or color=white? I was just asking for advice while making game summaries. Thank you. [[Special:Contributions/98.17.180.83|98.17.180.83]] ([[User talk:98.17.180.83|talk]]) 22:57, 19 October 2024 (UTC) |

Snowboard big air
Thanks for the clarification on including it as a summer sport - I still don't quite get it, but I trust that it's in the right place. -- Natalya 23:51, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Shovel racing
You made a comment on the X Games talk page about four months ago regarding shovel racing, but I don't know if you ever got an answer. You are correct- super-modified shovel racing was held for one year, and it was in 1997. -- Kicking222 14:15, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
College Baseball Project
Hello, I noticed that you have edited a College baseball related article. You may be interested to know that there is a college baseball WikiProject which you can join if you like. We would love to have you!
Second Mexican War Merge
Well I was just being bold and decided to merge the two pages, seeing as the Second Mexican War is basically the plot of How Few Remain, there seemed to be no point in having two separate pages. And I chose not to start a merge discussion because of its non-controversial nature (see Help:Merging and moving pages#Merging's How to Merge Section). If you disagree, feel free to revert, and I'll stick a proposed merge tag on. Oh, and that merge is just a crude one, I'll copy-edit it to truncate the long plot summary when I have some time tomorrow. Thanks for teaming up with me to add results to the United States at the 2011 Pan American Games page! Couldn't have done it without you. Prayerfortheworld (talk) 22:53, 30 October 2011 (UTC) |
- Thanks. I know we almost got in a couple of edit wars but it was nice having someone else to help contain the chaos and keep up with the madness. I noticed you're in the Olympics group, is there some kind of coordination structure planned for the '12 Olympics so we don't end up stepping on each others' toes again? Torlek (talk) 23:41, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
- No problem! Yeah, it was better to share the load with you, even if we had a few edit conflicts here and there. I'm not very sure if there's anything of that sort... I haven't seen any coordination structure browsing through WP:OLYMPICS. I know there's the MoS for the nations pages, but that's about all... I hope we'll be able to work something out! Olympics
Hello Torlek,
I have a question. Do you think it is necessary to have a deficit column in cross-country skiing for the athletes in their respective nations pages? I've seen the example that does not contain it, and I have a problem. One of the users keeps on reverting my edits about the use of deficit column, and demands me to stop removing it. Hope you understand my concern. Thank you! Raymarcbadz (talk) 15:01, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
- User:Sportsfan 1234 mentioned for figure skating the names are put one the same line, because the ISU does the same [1] with their results. And for your intention, the names of skaters in mixed gender competitions must be broken into separate lines. What's the reason behind it? Which of these ideas do you think are appropriate for the nations pages? Raymarcbadz (talk) 03:00, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Wikipedia:WikiProject Olympics/Manual of Style (Games summary – Nations)
Per the Manual of Style athletes are listed with their events. Not events with athletes. So please do not revert. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 05:06, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
Hey
It was an accident. Don't worry. Everything will be okay. --Płoviskyïovę (talk) 18:51, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
Ice hockey Olympics
Hey I just wanted to let you know that I fixed the games and times for you. You didn't have the right times in the Qualification Playoffs. They are all correct now. 68.61.22.104 (talk) 09:36, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
Dates and templates
Hi. I just wanted to let you know why I reverted your edits to the olympic match templates. I did it because you changed to a sorting template {{dts}} which is supposed to be used in tables for sorting. Instead {{Start date}} should be used to emit the correct microformats for the dates. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. Qed237 (talk) 10:29, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
Capitalization
Hello, Torlek, and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia.
I'd just like to point out one thing: we use sentence case here, please see MOS:CAPS.
So, it's not "Table Tennis" or "Group Stage", it's "table tennis" and "group stage", or, if first in a sentence or caption, "Table tennis" and "Group stage".
Thank you.
Regards

What you’re doing with United States at the Olympics pages is fantastic! Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.170.74.176 (talk) 20:14, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
Please do not match templates
Please do not create individual match templates for the Pan Am Games. Please label each section. See baseball for an ex. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 14:51, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
- @Sportsfan 1234: I'd be amenable to your method (in a vacuum I'd actually prefer it because it keeps all the results boxes on a single page), but unless you've got a way to use this method to pass variables to the templates (e.g. df or bgc variables, mainly the df variable since the United States uses mdy and the default is dmy) I don't see it as a viable solution.Torlek (talk) 15:52, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
- The date format should match what is in the country. Its faster to name each section. During the Asian Games TFD discussion saw the section naming be the preferred method. Colour should also not be in these kind of templates as per WP:ACCESS. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 16:42, 28 July 2019 (UTC)

Hi, Are you planning to keep developing and expanding that page? There are some sports left with no list of participants or results. Adventghuyt (talk) 18:42, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
Hi, @Torlek:! Can I ask you to format that page the same way you formatted United States at the 1976 Summer Olympics (adding tables etc.) Thanks!
Resource request
Hello! I noticed that you are part of Category:Wikipedians by alma mater: University of Alabama in Huntsville, and I was hoping you could help me out. I am trying to get some information from an ebook (International Directory of Company Histories. Volume 214) that is available from the University of Alabama - Huntsville Louis Salmon Library. The book contains a section on Cloud9 Esports, Inc, which is what I am after. It appears that this is precisely what I am looking for. If you could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for helping with the 2020 US Olympics page
I just wanted to thank you for doing the US page with me. It seems to mainly be the two of us doing the work. It looks like you've been editing the Olympics pages for a while, so I appreciate the help and edits of anything I screw up.

Reference missing in transclusion
Torlek, do you have any idea how to fix the women's quarter final reference note in the Rugby sevens section of United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics? I get that the section is being transcluded, and that the "QFDelay" note is defined outside of the transclusion, but I'm not sure how to fix it. Hoof Hearted (talk) 13:51, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
- I fixed it by defining the named reference within the {{reflist}} template, but is there a better way? Hoof Hearted (talk) 14:42, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics
I went over most of the other U.S. Summer Olympics pages and there are no overview sections of all the others and I previously removed the overview section that was added by another user who made mostly negative stuff about the athletes and such that year. But Rscala1 brought it back. What do you think about this? BattleshipMan (talk) 01:17, 5 August 2021 (UTC)

United States at the 2022 Winter Paralympics
Hi.. I was wondering why you don't want to list the medal counts for the events at the 2022 Winter Paralympics? During 2022 Winter Olympics this was updated in real time. Thanks for your updates to the page.Tomrtn (talk) 11:29, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
- There was a contentious discussion last summer over whether to include the by-event and by-day medal tables. A consensus was never really reached so I've decided to take a middle ground (more qualitative than quantitative) and only include them if they won't exceed the length of the main medalist table with preference given to multiple medalists, then by-gender, then by-sport and finally by-date. Torlek (talk) 07:12, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you
Thank you to edit page of United States at the 2023 Pan American Games. Can you help me edit medalist information, thanks. Stevencocoboy (talk) 18:43, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
- That's on my list once I get the results caught up. There's a lot of formatting stuff to do. Torlek (talk) 18:48, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics
What's matter with you? You over change and change it again. You change men and women in first but later reverted my edit and change in freestyle and Greco-Roman. What do you want to play? Stevencocoboy (talk) 07:15, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
