His name should be listed as Saint George Floyd [[Special:Contributions/2600:100A:B03C:F807:C100:689B:E79B:6DFD|2600:100A:B03C:F807:C100:689B:E79B:6DFD]] ([[User talk:2600:100A:B03C:F807:C100:689B:E79B:6DFD|talk]]) 15:51, 18 August 2024 (UTC)

Per death certificate, George Floyd’s cause of death was a Fentanyl overdose, not from the knee on his neck by the police officer. 2600:6C5D:6300:408D:2DDA:6BDD:EA35:1D5 (talk) 16:03, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, and this is part of the reason that suppressed police body cam footage shows him saying, "I can't breathe" over and over long before he was on the ground under an officer trying to subdue him. He had pre-existing lung issues and was high on meth and fentanyl according to his Tox report, and it was the drugs that were causing him to not be able to breathe as his body was shutting down from the overdose. The media suppressed the police cams so the public would follow a scripted narrative that caused the burning and rioting of Minneapolis, burnings that ruined African American businesses as much as "white" ones. This article is lying bullshit not backed by any facts Facts would be his autopsy and tox report. This article is radical and politically driven and a fine example of why few people really take Wikipedia seriously anymore. It is a waste of time for people to come here and use it a source. This article is fake news and needs to be taken down and written truthfully, but for some reason someone is protecting it by locking it. How convenient. Super disappointing. Here is a documentary showing the police body cams that were not released to the public at the time. It shows Floyd already saying, "I can't breathe" long before he was on the street under an officer trying to subdue him. He was resisting and moving all over the place and with a lung condition and dangerous levels of meth and fentanyl in his system, that is why he couldn't breathe. To blame that on officers of the law is reprehensible. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFPi3EigjFA. DollyArtist2013 (talk) 20:44, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We go by the verdict was. We go by what wp:rs say not wp:or of youtube videos.Slatersteven (talk) 20:44, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well what’s the point of an article if you’re not going to mention the drugs in his system? If you withhold information that factored into his death you’re deliberately pushing a narrative. KylieNectar (talk) 01:47, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@KylieNectar please read the article. They're mentioned in the same sentence as the cause of death EvergreenFir (talk) 01:53, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Then shouldn’t the cause of death on the column say something like “asphyxiation from fentanyl overdose exacerbated by neck compression”? KylieNectar (talk) 02:17, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, because that's not why he died. he died due to lack of oxygen. Babysharkboss2!! (Um, what the Sigma) 12:55, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Lack of oxygen from overdosing. KylieNectar (talk) 16:46, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
