From having walked the CRL's trackage between 106th St and 118th St. I would dispute that CRL uses any former CWI trackage. From approxomately 104th St to the 118th St yard, CRL uses ex Rock Island trackage that was east of the Belt tracks north of 112th and east of the CWI south of there, and in fact is not connected with the CWI. At the south end of the 118th St yard is a track connection with the CWI that was installed in the 1960's sometime so the IHB trains could access that yard from the south. The original IHB connection was on a swing bridge just east of the CWI lift bridge that was rammed by a ship in the 60's. At that point IHB built two connecting tracks, one north and one south of the river, in order to bybass the wrecked bridge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.223.60.199 (talk) 23:35, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
