X does not provide a full official list, but news and mainstream media often cover the topic.[1][2][3][4] As of December 2024, the most-liked tweet has over 6.9 million likes and was posted by the account of American actor Chadwick Boseman, announcing his death from cancer.[5] Five accounts have more than one of the most-liked posts in the top 30: South Korean band BTS has 17, while former U.S. president Barack Obama, current U.S. president Joe Biden, business magnate Elon Musk, and environmental activist Greta Thunberg each have two.
