Simon Miller is an award-winning film writer and director from the United Kingdom, who made his feature length directorial debut in 2007 with Seachd: The Inaccessible Pinnacle.

Directing

Since leaving the London Film School in 2003, Simon Miller has written and directed two short films. The first, Dead Man Falls premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2004. The second, Foighidinn: The Crimson Snowdrop in Scottish Gaelic, premiered at the Celtic Film and Television Festival in 2005 and went on to win the Bermuda International Film Festival and to show at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, the Hamptons International Film Festival, the Hawaii International Film Festival, the Rhode Island International Film Festival and the European Minority Film Festival.

Foighidinn: The Crimson Snowdrop was the inspiration the Scottish Gaelic feature film, Seachd: The Inaccessible Pinnacle, his feature debut, which is due for release in 2007.

Writing

Simon Miller writes with his wife, Joanne Cockwell and has colloborated with several Scottish Gaelic writers including: Aonghas Macneacail, Ian Finlay Macleod and Angus Peter Campbell.
