TT Pro League players

Please be careful when adding this category to articles, it should only be added to players who have actually played in the league - therefore Sean de Silva is not eligible. GiantSnowman 17:55, 10 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Richard Roy

Please do not add or change content, as you did to Richard Roy (footballer), without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. GiantSnowman 22:58, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Creating categories

When creating new categories, please check first to make sure they do not duplicate existing categories i.e. Category:W Connection F.C. players, which you created even though a Category:W Connection players had already existed for five years prior to that! I have now deleted the latter as the former appears to be the correct name, per WP:CFDS. GiantSnowman 17:56, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Thank you for your kinds words regarding my work. Players and national teams from the Caribbean region have become a real passion of mine. Stefano Rijssel became somewhat of an obsession. haha Perhaps we could share sources. Do you know of any good sources for individual player club statistics for the region? I have found that even the TT Pro League website is completely unreliable for statistics and smaller league databases are nonexistent. Keep up the good work yourself, my friend. --Gri3720 (talk) 03:11, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for the kind words - I post a lot on Soca Warriors if you're active in T&T football? Wouldn't mind speaking in general.--Tiresais (talk) 22:40, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

BracketBot message

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of TT Pro League players with international caps may have broken the syntax by modifying 18 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • {| class="sortable wikitable"
  • {{fb|TRI}} || align="center"|9 || align="center"|0 || 2008–2012 || 2009–13 || align="center"|<ref>{{NFT player|pid=26074|Adams, Akeem|accessdate=8 March 2014</ref><ref>{{cite news|title = Player

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 08:07, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mirror symmetry article

Hello,

I noticed that you're a member of WikiProject Mathematics and that you've expressed interest in algebraic geometry. I wanted to let you know that the article on mirror symmetry is currently a featured article candidate.

If you're interested, we'd love to hear your thoughts on this page. Please note that you do not need to be an expert on the subject.

Thanks for your help!

Redirects

Hello. I see that you've blanked the redirects on 2010 TT Pro League season and List of TT Pro League transfers 2014–15. Please be noted that blanking is not tantamount to a deletion, and that deletion requests for redirects should be brought up at WP:RFD or nominated under WP:CSD. I've undid the blanking for now. Thanks. KJ «Click Here» 13:00, 28 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ancil Elcock

Welcome! Hi, Mr. Mikeype. I would like to say that the article about Mr. Ancil Elcock is in no way an achievement, because in which world is an injury to another player an achievement? After all the good football that young man did for Trinidad and Tobago, I think that your post is an embarrassment to him and should be deleted. If you really know about football, find something better to put about his achievements. Trinlegal (talk) 12:00, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Trinlegal, I believe that you are mistaken as to you are attributing to the contributions to Mr. Ancil Elcock's Wikipedia article. My only contributions to his article on Wikipedia were to redirect his article from "Ansil Elcock" to "Ancil Elcock" and to add clubs North East Stars and Tobago United that Elcock played for while in the TT Pro League. In other words, another Wikipedia user had already stated that his "greatest accomplishment" was to injure another player. If you like to remove the content on Mr. Ancil Elcock's Wikipedia article, you are free to do so by clicking on "Edit" from his article and removing the statement. Good job!

Doesn't look like you're active these days, but just wanted to say great job on improving the T&T football pages, especially the work on the Pro League. You did an outstanding job. --  R45  talk! 13:47, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Invite to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge ‎ has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Latin America, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:43, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
