Tauthali (हजिपुर) is a village in Province No. 3 Sindhupalchok District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. Tauthali is 110 km away from Kathmandu. In 2011, the official population was 2762 (1507 females and 1255 males) in 776 households.[1]

In the 2013 Nepal census it had a population of 3197 in 666 houses.[2]

After the devastating earthquake of 2072 almost every house was destroyed including religious sites such as Tripura Sundari Mai. Within a half decades of time frame, almost every house was rebuilt, and now the look of this village has been totally changed comparing to prior days before earthquake.

  • One of the country's biggest ropeway Dolakha-Sindhupalchwok ropeway. (Currently not in operation)


  • If you are seeking for adventures than Trekking route from Kharidhungha to Tauthali covers around 10 km. While traveling this route you will be enjoying the scenery of mountains, hills, flora, fauna and the taste of cold water when you are thirsty.
