Speedy deletion nomination of User:Cvizents
A tag has been placed on User:Cvizents requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Wikipedia is not a social network or a place to write about yourself
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a social network. Wikipedia is not a place to socialize or do things that are not directly related to improving the encyclopedia. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. We're sorry if this message has discouraged you from editing here, but the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia (please see What Wikipedia is not for further details). Thank you. Melcous (talk) 21:24, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Colleen and thanks for you message on my talk page. Your new user page looks good to me. I can't see your old one from 2 months ago, but if you had links to other websites (your own, a blog, linked in, Facebook etc) those are the kinds of things that would usually flag it as possible self-promotion and why it would have come to my attention. If you're looking for more information, WP:USER has a long list of what you may and may not have on your user page. But as I said, yours looks fine now. I hope that's helpful and that this experience hasn't put you off wikipedia - happy editing! Melcous (talk) 22:52, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- Hi again, I am assuming this message is from you even though it was written while you were logged out and so has an IP address rather than your user name? (That's a good thing to be aware of for the future, please remember to log in!) If so, I'm not sure what you mean as the user page I said looks good has not be deleted and is still there currently? Thanks, Melcous (talk) 22:27, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
