Barsky was a graduate of the Architectural College in Grekov Odessa Art school of Odessa and of the St. Petersburg Imperial Academy of Art.[1] Since 1907 lived anf worked in Jerusalem, Mandatory Palestine. One of the most renowned architects - the Zionists, representatives of the Eretz Yisrael style.

The first kiosk in Tel Aviv, built by Joseph Barsky in 1910. The photo was taken today.[2][3]
