Roosevelt hotel

Your information is not really a Your information is not really accurate. The Awards weren't born at the Roosevelt but a little bit further towards the walk of Fame. Although I've been there (it's a bar now) I don't remember it's current name, that's were the first ceremonies were held. It's a tiny place.

Someone should tell Wikipedia that a Brazilian film scholar has documented a December 5, 1933 occurrence of the term "Oscar."
