My mother was the landlady of the Tally Ho in Kentish Town, and she regretted giving Eggs Over Easy so many regular sessions, because she had the problem of filling the gaps when they left. EOE were certainly not the first of the pub rock genre, though they were popular at the Tally Ho. Ian Dury's band Kilburn and the High Road, and another band called Chilli Willi and the Red Hot Peppers were playing there at around the same time if not before.
