== Adding information regarding developments about faked and/or misrepresented charity work == |
|||
In the controversies section, a new sub section should be added detailing the recent information about some of the misrepresentations of various elements of the charity work done by mrbreast. This includes not paying for the 1000 eye surgeries as was claimed in the video for that and the misrepresented images of the building repairs in the "we powered a mountain" video. |
|||
It may also make sense to add information to the public image and influence section, which seems totally lacking any mention of the negative change in recent months. TheTopOfCode (talk) 07:45, 4 November 2024 (UTC) |

Hi. Previous previous protection settings was indefinite WP:SEMI. However, someone changed it to temporary wp:ECP, which is expiring by tomorrow. Any planned updates before shenanigans approach razing the door without even knocking on it?197.240.59.54 (talk) 17:35, 8 November 2024 (UTC) |

:Well, as it has been a long time since it was last protected, maybe we might want to see what happens? ::I can see anons'. edits which don't seem to be helpful to the recently created page Lab. I also realized that you protected lunchly temporarily. Once its protection expires, which is within a week, the same story might likely happen again as what is presently happening to feastables. Those aspects have to be taken into consideration before this page's edit history gets likely flooded with hidden (or perhaps wp:oversight) material.197.240.59.54 (talk) 00:19, 9 November 2024 (UTC) |

On July 24, 2024, Donaldson removed Ava Kris Tyson, one of the original cast members, from the MrBeast brand following allegations against Tyson of a number of kinds of sexual misconduct. However, Tyson put out her own statement, saying she willingly stepped away and that her decision to leave was mutual. Donaldson hired an independent investigator to look further into the matter, and on November 1, the law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan concluded the allegations were baseless, after conducting "39 interviews of current and former employees" and reviewing "over 4.5 million documents from mobile phones, emails, Telegrams, Discords, WhatsApps and Slack". The law firm reported that: "The allegations were soundly rejected, including by alleged victims." These alleged victims have commented on the allegations as "massive lies," with one saying, "People used my name to make very serious allegations and claims without ever speaking to me." :The allegations were neither proven or debunked. Donaldson privately investigating his own employees isn't sufficient evidence to consider the allegations outright "debunked." I fully believe we shall refer to them as "allegations" because that's fairly neutral of us. We shouldn't take a stance on Tyson as to whether they groomed a 13-year-old boy or not. Innocent until proven guilty, but we can't take the stance that the allegations are debunked nor proven. It's like if we said redacted. The case never went to trial, sorta like Tyson here. We should always take the most neutral option. I personally don't think Tyson is a pedophile, but it would be a disservice to those looking for unbiased information about the allegations to claim they're "debunked" solely based on what a team of lawyers in a non-criminal investigation believed. There will most likely be an edit war over this position because most Wikipedia editors (in my experience) don't actually care about upholding neutrality, just whatever satisfies their worldview no matter how much it contradicts available information and/or Wikipedia's own rules. Sorry, you’re looking at an instance where in the year 2024, a trans person was falsely accused of grooming and had her life publicly destroyed, and don’t see how a wider social movement taking place at the same time which explicitly seeks to paint trans people as groomers, using that exact word, is related and perhaps warrants a see also? Ava Kris Tyson
[edit]As the investigation debunked the allegations against her, isn't undue weight now being given to quotes about the allegations and the process of them being made in that section? I don't want to cause an edit war, so here now would just recommend the following edit:
The law firm reported that: "The allegations were soundly rejected, including by alleged victims." These alleged victims have commented on the allegations as "massive lies," with one saying, "People used my name to make very serious allegations and claims without ever speaking to me." - The allegations were neither proven or debunked. It's like if we said (Redacted). James Stephen Donaldson (MrBeast) Arrested

- I don't think this is notable enough to be mentioned in the article, as the information is only recently resurfaced, and street racing is not the worst crime one can commit. ChopinChemistTalk? 14:42, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
