The '''2012 San Diego Toreros football team''' represented the [[University of San Diego]] in the [[2012 NCAA Division I FCS football season]]. They were led by sixth-year head coach [[Ron Caragher]] and played their home games at [[Torero Stadium]]. They were a member of the [[Pioneer Football League]]. They finished the season 8–3, 7–1 in PFL play to win their second consecutive league championship, shared with [[2012 Butler Bulldogs football team|Butler]] and [[2012 Drake Bulldogs football team|Drake]]. Head Coach Ron Caragher resigned at the end of the season to take the same position at [[San Jose State Spartans football|San Jose State]]. On December 28th, defensive coordinator [[Dale Lindsey]] was named the new head coach beginning in 2013.

The 2012 San Diego Toreros football team represented the University of San Diego as a member of the Pioneer Football League (PFL) during the 2012 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led byRon Caragher in his sixth and final season as head coach, the Toreros compiled an overall record of 8–3 with a mark of 7–1 in conference play, sharing the PFL title with Butler and Drake. The team played home games at Torero Stadium in San Diego.

Caragher resigned at the end of the season to take the position as head coach at San Jose State. On December 28, defensive coordinator Dale Lindsey was named to suceed him.
