Is this the correct pronunciation? The SAMPA [lEz@z]) would equate to IPA {{IPA|['lɛzəz]}} or something like"lezzers". The BBC pronouncing Dictionary of English Names doesn't have an entry for The Leasowes, but for Leasowe (possibly unconnected) it gives IPA {{IPA|['lisoʊ]}}, or something like "leessoe". :Edit was mine. Confusingly that is how it is pronounced by those currently living in the vicinity and speaking the [[Black Country]] dialect. I suppose that for years nobody else cared. I don't mind it being replaced by a more official pronunciation but I'm really not sure that there is one. It is a word with a slightly non-obvious pronunciation.
