Cut from Talk:Black spider monkey
[edit]== Scientific name ==
What is the scientific name of this species? I suspect it's already covered under another name within the genus Ateles. Ucucha 21:47, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- Indeed it is: merged and redirected to Red-faced Spider Monkey (I did'nt sign this edit yesterday). —innotata (Talk • Contribs) 17:16, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- Cut here in case this page were to be mistakenly listed at WP:NCM. —innotata (Talk • Contribs) 20:53, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
IUCN Status
[edit]I'm going by the newest, not-yet released IUCN Status, 3.2, which I received from my cousin-in-law, and it states that the red-faced spider monkey (legally named by the IUCN black spider monkey) is not qualified for any of the stats, thus giving it the status "data deficient," and this morning I changed it. Yet, somebody changed it back. Let me guess, I should go by 3.1... Well, the problem is, we always go by the newest stats on Wikipedia, and 3.2 is the newest. So I'm rechanging it.
