Visceral Bleeding is a death metal band from Sweden.

Biography
Biography
The band was formed sometime in the late nineties by Peter Persson and Niklas Dewerud. Influenced by bands such as Suffocation and Monstrosity they performed what they thought the death metal scene was lacking. Once Calle Löfgren joined on bass, Dennis Röndum doing vocals and Marcus Nilsson joined to play lead, they released a demo under the name "Internal Decomposition." It was generally well received. Once signed, they wrote a new album, titled Remnants of Deprivation. It took only a three week period in the studio to record all the tracks. After the release of the CD, Niklas left Visceral Bleeding to focus all his attention in the technical death metal band Spawn of Possession.

Joined by Calle Löfgren on bass, Dennis Röndum on vocals, and Marcus Nilsson on lead guitar, they released a demo, Internal Decomposition. Once signed to Neurotic, they released their first album, Remnants of Deprivation, in 2002. After its release, Dewerud left Visceral Bleeding to focus all his attention on the band Spawn of Possession; he was replaced by Tobias Persson.

The band's second album, Transcend into Ferocity, came out in 2004, and after its release another member quit, this time vocalist Dennis Röndum, also to join Spawn of Possession. A replacement was found in Martin Pedersen. He joined the band as they toured across Europe, supporting bands like Obituary and Deicide.
Shortly after Niklas left, he was replaced by Tobias Persson. After a few band practices, he became a permanent member of the band. While this happened, Remnants of Deprivation was being as well received as the Internal Decomposition demo. Noticing this, the band was signed to Neurotic Records. They immeaditly began to write their second full length, Transcend into Ferocity. As with Remnants of Deprivation, another member quit with the release of Transcend into Ferocity. This time it was Dennis Röndum who quit, also to join Spawn of Possession as a drummer.

While the band was writing the third album, Absorbing the Disarray, Nilsson decided that he needed to step back from the scene, as did Martin Bermheden. Absorbing the Disarray was released in June 2006. After its release, Löfgren got married and had a daughter, and left for an undisclosed amount of time while Martin Andersson, former Eklöv filled in for him on the following tour with Deicide, Cryptopsy, and Skinless.
A replacement was found in Martin Pedersen who immediately joined in. He joined Visceral Bleeding as they toured across Europe to help solidify their status in the genre, supporting other bands such as Deicide and Obituary.

Visceral Bleeding are one of a handful of brutal death metal bands hailing from Sweden. This style of death metal incorporates very fast razor sharp palm muted staccato runs through their riffs, as well as hammering out an intricate machine code of blast-beat oriented death metal riffs, although (as is common amongst brutal death metal bands) many elements of thrash and even some hardcore influences are also present. Visceral Bleeding also incorporates uncommon time signatures, such as 13/8ths, into their music, making it not only a challenging listen, but extremely difficult to execute on stage.

Visceral Bleeding is a death metal band from Sweden.

Biography

[edit]

Visceral Bleeding was formed sometime in the late nineties by Peter Persson and Niklas Dewerud. Influenced by bands such as Suffocation and Monstrosity, they performed what they thought the death metal scene was lacking.
